New Term in ICI

We realized the elections for Membership of Committee of Profession and Assembly, Assembly Presidency Council, Board of Directors, Discipline Committee, TOBB Delegates and Professional Committee Presidents and Deputies as an example in compliance with strong corporate culture, traditions and values of our Chamber in the first week of April.
As the Board of Directors of Istanbul Chamber of Industry, we have undertaken the duty and responsibility commended to us with pride and excitement. We will be in struggle for implementing this important duty and responsibility in the best way and being worthy of this trust showed towards us during the following operating period.
Our priority duty is to prepare our industry and industrialist to the future. The future is a mysterious and exciting notion which arises everybody’s curiosity and hopes, and sometimes makes them concerned. There is a fact of world and region which carry the opportunities and risks all together. We are attaching importance to be prepared for the future not only theoretically or by discussing but also concrete implementations and steps.
We are taking three important steps toward the new term in company with this understanding. We have started to publish “Overview and Expectations in Industry” reports by three-month periods as a result of the cooperation we have carried out with IHS Markit so that the Purchasing Managers Index-PMI which is considered as the fastest and the most reliable leading indicator of the economic growth all over the world can be calculated and published in our country. We sincerely believe that these new works will be eye-opening in terms of strategy and policies to be developed concerning our industry sector and economy
We should work in unity for the further accomplishments in the following term. Who know the problems of the industrialists best are the industrialists, namely, they are our base. In this respect, being in constant and effective interaction with our base is of crucial importance for us. We will continue to be close to our base to provide both cooperation and exchange opinions and fast and qualified service in place.
We know that our industrialists that shoulder the responsibility and ensure welfare as the driving force of sustainable economic growth deserve everything we do and much more."
