Not Fading Light of the Industry

The industry of Istanbul and Istanbul Chamber of Industry have very valuable tradition and knowledge for Türkiye. Istanbul Chamber of Industry has been leading the way for this country and our industrialists for 65 years. Yes, we have deep-rooted and strong history like a plane tree. And I should state now that we owe a debt of gratitude for our old industrialists who brought us to todays.
As the board of Istanbul Chamber of Industry, we have launched a valuable archive research which has the characteristics of important resource for today and future’s generations in honor of the 65th anniversary of the establishment. Our research comprises of a two-volume book and a documentary telling the industry history of both Istanbul and Türkiye with the aim of creating social consciousness for production.
The book named “Story of Producers” with the book “Istanbul Industry History/In the Eternal Light of Our Industry” and the documentary with the same name which were prepared as the result of meticulous and extensive research are addressing the development of the industry from Ottoman period to the present with the historical, cultural, economical and social aspects and offering an insight into the future through the tracks of past with the interviews carried out with doyen industrialists and witnesses of the period.
We are continuing our works for finding solutions to the problems of our industry and industrialists. We hosted Mr. Mehmet Özhaseki, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization in the last 2017 ordinary meeting of ICI Assembly. Mr. Özhaseki said that the year of 2018 will be mobilization year in the urban transformation.
As ICI, we stated that the competitive capacity of the industry which was caused to be have position as migrated obligatorily has come to a full stop, and thus two new Organized Industrial Sites (OSBs) which will contribute to the transformation of Istanbul’s industry, as one in Europe and another in Asia should be established.
As ICI, we are experiencing the happiness of carrying another new project into effect as of 1 January 2018. We are providing fast, economical, reliable and agreeable solution for the conflicts between themselves or with third parties to our Members through ICI Arbitration Center.
We will continue to lead the way and provide service for all our industrialists without losing our excitement, as always.
