Ahlam Medani Mahdi Sabeel, Sudanese Minister of Investment paid a courtesy visit to Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ICI). The meeting, held at ICI’s Odakule headquarters, was also attended by Acting Consul General of Sudan in Istanbul, Osama Mahjoub Hassan Dirar. Discussions focused on economic and trade relations between Türkiye and Sudan, highlighting potential collaboration opportunities in the industrial sector.

During the visit, mutual interest in enhancing cooperation between Turkish industrialists and Sudanese companies was emphasized. The meeting also addressed the investment climate in Sudan and explored ways to increase bilateral trade volume, noting the country’s significant need for infrastructure and construction investments. Additionally, the potential for joint projects in sectors such as agriculture, food, construction materials, and energy was highlighted. Both parties agreed on the importance of fostering industrial and production-based partnerships through increased reciprocal visits to strengthen commercial ties between Türkiye and Sudan.
