In the context of maintaining good relations with diplomatic missions in Istanbul, Georgian Consul General Aleksandre Jishkariani paid a courtesy visit to Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of Board of Directors of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ICI), on May 22, 2024.

During the meeting, held at ICI's headquarters in the Odakule building, discussions were centered on the existing commercial relations between Turkey and Georgia, as well as future cooperation opportunities. The visit emphasized that, in addition to being neighboring countries, Turkey is one of Georgia's significant trade partners. They exchanged ideas on investment opportunities in sectors such as energy, construction, tourism, and agriculture. Both parties agreed on the importance of deepening the friendly relations between the two countries and enhancing industrial cooperation. They concurred on implementing joint projects, similar to a “country day” event, to bring together businesspeople from both nations.
