Latvian Ambassador Pēteris Vaivars Visits ICI Chairman Erdal Bahçıvan

Latvia's Ambassador to Ankara Pēteris Vaivars and the Undersecretary Dita Putnaērgle visited Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ICI) in Odakule. Recent activities by ICI were discussed at the meeting, exploring the opportunities for economic cooperation between Türkiye and Latvia, a country with a dynamic economy in the Baltic region. The meeting focused on exchanging ideas on what can be done to explain the economic relations and mutual investment opportunities between the two countries to industrialists and entrepreneurs, and the attendants discussed the potential projects that could be advanced together on this subject in the coming period. The meeting also focused on possible collaboration areas between Turkish and Latvian manufacturers could and what could be done to speed up these efforts. In this context, it was agreed to further strengthen cooperation and communication between institutions and to hold in Latvia the "Country Day" event which has been organized by ICI for many countries till now.
