Sudan Delegation that is in Istanbul for OIC Summit Visits ICI

Sudan Delegation that came to Istanbul for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit visited ICI. The delegation that was welcomed by Sadık Ayhan Saruhan, ICI Accounting Member of Board of Directors and greeted by Serdar Urfalılar, ICI Member of Board of Directors included Khartoum Investment and Industry Minister Adda Alla Ahmed Hamad, Khartoum State Finance, Economy and Consumer Relations Minister Mohamed Yousuf Ali and Sudan Istanbul Consulate General Economy Undersecretary Elamin Adam Abuelgasim Yahia.
The current and potential cooperation opportunities between two countries were discussed in the meeting. It was emphasized that this should be accentuated based on the fact that serious and huge opportunities were to arise especially after the lift of embargo on Sudan. In the meeting, Sadık Ayhan Saruhan, ICI Accounting Member of Board of Directors mentioned the banking problems regarding the economic activities in the country and told that instruments such as preferential trade arrangements would expedite the relationships after this problem was overcame. Stating that this matters will be handled in the Sudan Country Day to be held by ICI on December 21, 2017, Saruhan added that the results might turn into a road map.
Khartoum Investment and Industry Minister Adda Alla Ahmed Hamad stated that they are exceptionally pleased to have visited Istanbul at the time of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit. Hamad especially stressed that they were happy to have the chance to improve the relationships between the two countries with big and effective institutions like ICI. Stating that Khartoum, the political and economical capital of Sudan, is an important actor for such cooperations with its 25 percent share in the national income, Hamad said that he knew the capacity of Turkish companies and they were eager to establish serious cooperations in this regard.
