Sudradjat, Consul General of Indonesia to Istanbul Pays a Visit to ICI Chairman Bahçıvan

Herry Sudradjat, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia to Istanbul, paid a first courtesy visit to Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ICI). The meeting that took place in the head office of ICI in Tepebaşı focused on economic relations between Indonesia and Turkish businesses. The counterparts exchanged ideas on how to further develop relations.

Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ICI, stated that he had the chance to get to know Indonesia better for the first time two years ago at the B20 meetings and that ICI organized an Indonesia Day last year. He pointed out the crucial role Indonesia plays in Asia and Türkiye’s role as an important bridge between Europe and Asia. He emphasized the need to develop and sustain intercommunication and dialogue to seize the high potential of bilateral cooperation.

Herry Sudradjat, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia, referred to the growing economic relations between the two countries, noting the major contribution potential of a free trade agreement to be effective immediately. Discussions also laid emphasis on keeping open and developing intercommunication channels to further stimulate economic relations.
