Ethiopian Ambassador to Ankara, Adem Mohamed Mahmud, made a courtesy visit to Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of Board of Directors of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ICI). The meeting took place at the ICI headquarters in the Odakule building, with Ambassador and Counselor Mulie Tarekegn Edlie also in attendance.

During the visit, discussions revolved around current global developments, as well as economic matters concerning not only Ethiopia but also the East African region. Emphasis was placed on further strengthening commercial relations between Turkey and Ethiopia and exploring potential collaborative projects to enhance cooperation. The strategic position of Ethiopia and its rapidly growing economy were highlighted as presenting opportunities for business ventures. There was also a focus on informing Istanbul-based industrialists about these opportunities and enhancing inter-institutional communication to facilitate the implementation of projects that would bring together businesspeople from both countries.
